According to Pratyaya Amrit, additional chief secretary (health) for Patna Bihar, the state government has started several efforts to improve the healthcare facilities in hospitals and medical schools.

Mr. Amrit stated at a gathering on Thursday that the Fibroscan device aids in diagnosing liver disorders. It can also be utilized in fluoroscopy, endoscopy, endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, and other medical procedures. The device was unveiled at a private medical facility close to Bihta. According to him, the government plans to create medical colleges in each area to expand access to public healthcare and medical education.

Fibroscan, according to Dr. Sanjeev Kumar, chief of the cardiothoracic division at AIIMS-P, is a crucial technique for quickly and painlessly examining patients liver conditions. Obtaining information on the condition of the liver before and after treatment is also beneficial. Dr. Krishna Murari Singh, the hospitals director, said the new tool will simplify the process. Previously, liver disorders in the intestinal tract could only be confirmed through biopsy.
